Formerly the USS Worland PCE-845, The advance saw many years of service as an escort vessel and then as a research vessel for the North Carolina State University, Cape Fear Technical Institute, Wilmington. These pictures were taken by Earl Parker on August 7th, 2007. We still had the 1-2ft swell from the SE with a light quartering wind from the E, visibility ranged 40-70ft.
