Outstanding engineering and a versatile design is why the Dive Rite O2ptima FX Closed Circuit Rebreather offers unique advantages to the CCR diver. An adjustable foot allows the O2ptima FX to accommodate tanks up to 15-inches long and 5.5-inches in diameter. With the shortest breathing loop on the market, the O2ptima FX has less breathing resistance due to the shorter distance gas has to travel. The over-the-shoulder counterlungs are adjustable so that a diver can position the counterlungs for maximum ease of breathing. The latest Hammerhead electronics by industry leader Juergensen Marine offer proven reliability and a solid track record. Optional off-board CCR compatible computers are easily plugged into a fourth cell. The Micropore Extend AirŪ scrubber canister gives O2ptima FX divers the confidence of a well-packed scrubber, easy maintenance, and the ability to rapidly change out the scrubber media. The O2ptima FX allows divers the convenience of using any harness/wing combination that best fits their stature as well as dive plan. All hoses, fittings and valves are U.S. industry standard. Without tanks, the entire unit fits into carry-on luggage.

Note: The O2ptima FX does not include tanks, harness or wing due to individual diver preference. Tanks, harness, wings and other accessories are available for customization.

  • Micropore ExtendAir cartridge scrubber. Recommended scrubber duration for sport diving depths is 240 liters of CO2 in warm water (50 degree F or above). Actual CO2 production of every individual varies, but a good average is 3 hours in warm water and 2 hours in cold water.

  • Over the shoulder counterlungs provide easier work of breathing in all dive positions. Counterlungs include diluent and oxygen manual addition valves. An over pressurization valve is located on the exhalation counter lung. The O2ptima FX counterlungs are covered in tear-resistant Rhinotec. Counterlungs are available in two sizes: standard 6 liter total volume or small 4 liter total volume.

  • The latest version of Juergensen Marine's Hammerhead Electronics (Delrin) include: The primary controller handset, which manages oxygen injection, PO2 monitoring, set points and onboard decompression information; The completely redundant secondary handset, which displays PO2, dive time, current depth and max depth. The handsets are independent and do not share CPU or battery. The only shared components are the three O2 sensors, yet each is accessed individually by the handsets. The O2ptima FX is compatible with off-board CCR-capable computers.

  • The Juergenson Marine Hammerhead electronics comes standard with a HUD (heads up display) along with DIVA (display integrated vibrating alarm). PO2 information is shown using a three color LED: green, yellow, and red.

  • AI R22 oxygen sensors are used to track PO2.

  • Harness attachment is standardized and readily accepts the TransPac, Trans Plate or any 11-inch on center back plate/harness and wing combination. It is advisable to use a minimum of 50 lbs/23 kilos of lift when diving 27cu.ft. steel tanks. Dive Rite recommends a TransPac and Rec wing or Nomad Side mount System for the best lift and buoyancy characteristics.

  • The DSV (diver supply valve) is uniquely small and lightweight. The O2ptima DSV uses a friction seal so there are no o-rings to wear out and replace.

  • The ADV (automatic diluent valve) adds diluent to the counter lung automatically maintaining an adequate breathable volume. Located on the inhalation counter lung, the ADV includes an in-line shutoff in case of free flow.

  • Dual water traps, one in the canister and one in the T-piece on the exhalation counter lung minimizes possible water interaction with the scrubber cartridge.

  • The cover is a combination of Rhinotec 600-denier polyester, PVC/resin-coated, waterproof and abrasion resistant fabric and Cordura. The hi-impact plastic frame and foot holds all components securely in place and is light weight.

  • Dive Rite RG1208 first stages are equipped with over pressurization valves for safety. On-board bailout comes standard with an RG1215 unbalanced second stage or divers can opt for a Rite Source BC integrated Octo.
