U-85 Dive Pictures

Taken by Craig Hellmann

The U-85 was the first U-boat sunk off the coast of the United States during World War II by the USS Roper just 12 miles off of Nags Head. The U-701 was the first of the Class VIIC boats built and sent to the Outer Banks for action. We have regular charters to each of these sites. Call 252-449-8349 for more information come dive into history.

These pictures were taken by Craig on a U-85 dive during a safety stop.
